Babaji and SAA Ramaiah : 9.5.1923
In the year 1955 Babaji has personally initiated S.A.A Ramaiah and later V.T Neelakantan into Kriya Yoga. S.A.A Ramaiah and V.T. Neelakantan were two souls brought together into the picture by Babaji to develop a new access to Kriya Yoga and spread the message.
S.A.A Ramaiah is the 2nd son of one of the wealthiest businessman Annamalai Chettiar and Thaivani Achi. He was a graduate student of Geology of Chennai. He contracted bone TB and was thus stopped on the eve of his departure to America. He was put in a plaster body cast to arrest the disease. With the help of two Gurus he became an adept in meditation.
Babaji healed S.A.A. Ramaiah of his disease and later initiated him into Kriya Yoga. Thus through the practice of the techniques he became yogi. Subsequently Yogi Ramaiah also studied physical therapy at the G S Medical College, Bombay. He began to apply methods of yogic therapy for the successful of many functional diseases.
